dr Kell Tremayne

Director

Facilitator, Coach, Speaker

Kell trained as a psychologist specialising in elite performance. Kell works with people in many different fields to enable them to focus on those things that matter most to them.

These include surgeons under time pressure to complete the job before an aesthetic wears off; bankers who have to tune out the white noise and focus on their big-ticket deals; lawyers who have to think logically under intense pressure; Olympic gold medallists who have to manage the pressure, expectations and intensity of competition and knowledge workers who have to deal with information overload, hundreds of emails and feeling stretched and overwhelmed. Kell has had much success with senior executives of some of Australia’s leading companies.

As a former competitive diver and academic university medallist, performance is something Kell not only researches and studies but something in which he has plenty of first-hand experience. Kell’s passion is centred on enabling people to make the most of themselves, their time and their lives.

Previously, Kell worked for Lifeline as a psychologist treating mainly depression and anxiety. Kell also worked for several years in the NSW Institute of Sport as a Psychologist. In this capacity, he worked in the areas of resilience, motivation, cultivating a successful mindset and cultivating and sustaining habit changing behaviours.

Working one-on-one, in groups, or developing resources that were rolled out to the athlete cohort, Kell developed evidence-based techniques that athletes could apply to increase their performance in sport and their wellbeing in life. Kell has used these resources within elite sport and across many other performance domains of work and life.

Capability to deliver scale using Learning Management Systems:

Currently Kell works at Western Sydney University as a Unit Coordinator and Lecturer. He is familiar with Blackboard Learning Management System in which he coordinates and lectures roughly 2,000 students per year. Kell is used to lecturing either face-to-face and in the online environment - typically providing 3 lectures a week in this space to over 1,000 students each week. Kell has good feedback on the lectures (receiving outstanding lecturer of the year by the APA in 2015) and has also won several Green Light Awards for excellence in Unit Coordination.
